4.5 months old

Time flies when you are having fun! This is probably one of the best stages so far. Molly is so inquisitive and curious of her surroundings. She is starting to recognize people and gets really excited when she sees Peter or I. She can roll over from her stomach to her back. And she's learned how to buzz her lips and spit and blow bubbles. She can almost sit up now. She is getting so big too! At her last Dr.'s appointment on Dec. 23rd, she weighed 12 lbs. 12 oz. and was 24.5 inches long. (She's doubled her weight since birth - it only took 4 months). She is in about the 30% for girls her age. So she's a little petite. She is finally into her 3-6 months clothes and I have a closetful! They are so cute too!

I've abandoned my promise to never have her sleep in bed with me. She outgrew her bassinet and I couldn't bear to put her in her crib all the way across the house. So she goes to bed with us now. I don't plan to keep doing this but it's so sweet and cozy. So needless to say, she doesn't sleep through the night anymore. Since I'm so convenient, she wants to eat!! But of course I'm pretty much asleep anyway so it requires little to no effort.

Molly is growing some hair but not much. Not enough to get a bow in yet. Still in headbands. Speaking of the head, she's developed a head rash of some sort - that has spread to her neck and face. It's not baby acne because it irritates her and she scratches at it. Her right ear is bothering her now too - it sometimes seems as if she's going to rip it off. I've heard that tugging at the ear could be a sign of an ear infection. But she doesn't have any other symtoms. So I can't tell if it's the rash that is bothering her or her actual ear.

We took our second road trip to Colorado for Molly's first Christmas! She got a lot of toys and clothes and had lots of fun! And she's the BEST traveller. She just sleeps the entire time - literally! Well I'm off to put Molly to bed so until next time..
