I can't believe how fast the time goes. Molly is growing up so quickly in front of my eyes. It's even worse that I don't see her for 8 hours of the day but I try to cherish every second with her. I haven't written very much about the things she is learning so I will do that now.
.) Molly is trying to repeat things after me. We play a game that goes like this..."What does a cat say? Meow", "What does a dog say? Ruff Ruff", "What does a chicken say? Bock Bock." The cutest one is when she says "Meow" because she draws out the "ow" part. Molly can also say, "Hello" with the phone up to her ear, and "Hi" and also "Bye-Bye" of course. And she still does her random babbling sentences that no one understands but her.
.) She knows some body parts. She can point to her ears, mouth, eyes, toes, belly button and nose.
.) She's a regular singer and dancer. She sings herself to sleep at night sometimes and also wakes up singing. It sort of sounds like, "Oh Ah, Oh Ah, Be, La, Do Day..." Very cute. She also has the funniest dances. If you ask her to dance, she almost does the running man! She moves her feet so fast. But if she hears the music on her own she throws her hands up in the air and moves her head to the beat. Double cute!
.) Molly also loves to read but she has very little attention span. She always brings multitudes of books for us to read to her. And she reads them herself. Well, pretends to read them herself. We don't have nearly enough books for the time that she spends with them.
.) She is finally off a pacifier, except for emergencies which are rare. We're moving from a bottle to a Nuby soft spout sippy cup. I love it because it resembles a bottle but it's a cup. Very good transition cup. She doesn't drink as much but she'll learn.
.) I believe she is either 20 lbs. or 19.5 lbs. Everytime we weigh her, it says 19.5. We have turned her around in the carseat. Don't tell the doc - it is supposed to be 20 but she's 20 with her clothes on!!
.) She doesn't fight naps or bedtime. We just lay her down and she falls asleep by herself with no crying (except for a few occasions). But the crib is still in our room. I know I know but when I work 8 hours a day, I like being in the same room with her at night. It just makes me feel good.
.) Molly has 7 teeth and I think she is teething again. She is very fussy and chewing on her fingers and drooling. I'm waiting for those molars so she can chew better.
.) Her diet consists mostly of hot dogs, turkey meat, lots of cheese, green beans, carrots, Kid's Cuisine meals, chicken nuggets, fruit, and yogurt. She doesn't get as much bread as I would like but she does eat a lot of pasta and macaroni and cheese. She also drinks juice everyday.
.) Molly loves bath time. She says, "Ba, ba" for bath. (Of course that also sounds like bottle and bock bock.) She thinks anything that has water is meant for splashing uncontrollably. For example, we went to a carnival and they had the ducks in the water game. She went right over and got soaking wet because she was splashing out of control.
